Sally Anne Schroeder, 59, of Winchester, Virginia passed away Monday, February 26, 2018, at her home.
Ms. Schroeder was born in 1959 in Michigan, the daughter of the late Harold and Ida Penny. She was employed at Rubbermaid Commercial Products. Sally enjoyed seeing the local sights in Winchester and surrounding areas; enjoyed trying new recipes; and her greatest passion were her grandchildren. A loving mother and grandmother that will be greatly missed.
Surviving is her daughter, Bobbie Lee Shirley of Stephens City, Virginia; grandchildren, Ayden Shanholtz and Maddasyn Shirley; sisters, Gale Scicluna and Chris Post; brothers, Harold Baggett, Terry Baggett, and Dana Penny; and father of her daughter, Charles Schroeder.
All services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

I got in touch with Sally several years ago through Facebook, and our common last name. Turns out we were related on my grandfathers side, Charles Penny - brother of Harold Penny. I kept in touch with Sally for several years and am devastated to hear of the loss of her. We had talked and dreamed of being able to meet up and visit each other same day. Even with her side of the Penny's in Virginia, and my side of the Penny's in Southern California, we bonded over our families love of racing, fishing, and dogs. May you rest in peace Sally
