Ruth Emma DeWitt, 79, of Fairfax Station, Virginia died Thursday in Heritage Hall, Front Royal, Virginia.
Mrs. DeWitt was born in 1931 in Port Jervis, New York the daughter of the late Irvin and Dorothy Hubbard. She was a homemaker and of the Protestant faith.
Her husband, Charles Alfred DeWitt preceded her in death on December 31, 1971.
Surviving is two daughters, Valarie Voorhees of Stephens City, Virginia, Christa Davis and her husband, Allen, of Wheeling, West Virginia, a son, Thomas DeWitt and his wife, Cindy, of Fairfax Station, Virginia, eight grandchildren, one great grandchild and a sister, Diane Catlett and her husband, Wayne of Winchester, Virginia.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with Chaplain Susan O’Kelly officiating. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
