Ruth Ann Snyder, 80, of Stephenson, VA, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 15, 2024, at her home.

Ruth Ann was born on February 18th, 1944, in Washington D.C., the daughter of the late John W. Cain and Nancy Hope Payne. She received her associate degree from Lord Fairfax Community College and retired after 35 years as a Contract Specialist for the Army Corp of Engineers. Ruth Ann was a member of Burnt Factory Church. She was very proud of the fact that she wrote and published a book titled, “Elements of Truth (an aid to spirituality). She loved talking about God to anyone who would listen. Her faith in God sustained her through ten long years of operations and hospitalizations while she continued to grow in love, kindness, and grace. Most of all Ruth Ann loved spending time with her daughter and grandson.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years Scott D. Snyder, whom she married on October 7th, 1979; her daughter, Carrie Lyn Frye, and husband Oliver Frye; grandson Samuel Frye; sisters Carol Jean Smart and Martha Cain Davis; and her brothers Phillip A.Banks and John W. Cain II

Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of life service will be held for Ruth Ann at Burnt Factory Church on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 11am.
