Russell L. Larrick
Mr. Russell Lee Larrick, age 86, of Winchester, VA, died Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Blue Ridge Hospice Residential Center. Mr. Larrick was born in 1925 in Frederick County, VA, the son of the late Clinton Moses and Nellie Larrick. He was the assistant manager of A & P for many years. He was a member of Shenandoah Valley Baptist Church and was a founding member of the Round Hill Fire & Rescue Company. Mr. Larrick was a veteran, having served as Sergeant in the U. S. Army during World War II.
He married Bonita “Bonnie” Faye Grubbs on June 18, 1967 in Edinburg, Virginia.
Surviving with his wife is a step-son, Richard “Rick” Flowers and wife, Rasha of Kissimmee, FL and a granddaughter, Allison Cates and husband, Mathieu of Lynchburg VA. Mr. Larrick was preceded in death by a son, Carroll Larrick, two sisters, Pearl Copenhaver and Goldie Smedley, and three brothers, Buck Larrick, Pete Larrick, and Leslie Larrick.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 30, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with Pastor Michael Grooms and Pastor Richard Flowers officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park with military honors afforded by VFW Post # 2123.
The family will receive friends at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel on Wednesday from 1:00to 2:00 PM prior to the service
