Ruby Ritenour

Ruby Ritenour, 74 , of Winchester, Virginia, died Tuesday, April 19, 2011, in Winchester, Virginia.

Mrs. Ritenour was born in 1936, in Thompson Valley, Virginia, the daughter of the late Harry and Pearl Young. She was a homemaker and mother. She was a Member of the Meadow Mills Church of the Brethren.

Mrs. Ritenour married Edward Iden Ritenour on September 26, 1971, who preceded her in death July 14, 2000.

Surviving are her children Kenneth A. Young of Elkins, WV, Robert L. “Pete” Linaburg of Winchester, VA, Deborah K. Diffenderfer of White Post, VA, James L. Linaburg of Winchester, VA, Joseph L. Linaburg of Winchester, VA, Connie J. Shoemaker of Strasburg, VA, Bonnie J. Reese of Stephens City, VA, Becky L. Ritenour of Winchester, VA, thirteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Carol Rose of Squire, WV, Linda Gillespie of Tazewell, VA, a brother James Young of Bluewell, WV.

A sister, Edith Bowling, and three brothers, Edgar Young, Roger Young and Hubert Young, preceded her in death.

Family will receive friends on Friday, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

All funeral services and interment will be private.
