Roy Vance Mills, 87, of Winchester, Virginia, died Thursday, November 12, 2009, in a local nursing facility.

Mr. Mills was born in 1922, in Purgitsville, West Virginia , the son of the late Claude and Eva C. Mills. He was a Truck Driver with C.W. Wright. Mr. Mills was of the Protestant faith.

His wife, Betty Mae Thorne Mills, whom her married in 1946, preceded him in death on November 15, 1994.

Surviving are his daughters, Romona Judy and her husband, Calvin, Sr., of Stephens City, Virginia, Patsy Hetz and her husband, Ronald of Grantsville, Maryland, Flora K. Mills, Karen Gibbs and her husband, Randy, all of Confluence, Pennsylvania, Roxana Fram and her husband, Tom, of Grantsville, Maryland; two sons, Harold “Pete” Mills and his wife, Debbie of Markleysburg, Pennsylvania, Roy A. “Butch” Mills and his wife, Linda, of Clearbrook, Virginia; fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

One grandson, Ronald Hetz, preceded him in death.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
