Sheila Gordon left a message on March 22, 2010:
Dear Bonnie, Boys and family: Words cannot begin to express my deepest felt sympathy to you all. Roy was such a sweet, quiet, gentle man. Always a kind word. It goes without saying, though I will say it anyhow, he loved his family, whether talking about his boys or his grandchildren, conversing with Bonnie over the day to day matters, or merely walking Hershey, his love for you all was always apparent. Hold the great memories deep in your mind and close to your heart, the good memories will get you through this difficult time and they will help ease the pain in the future. Reflect on your husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law often and think about he would handle things. If you do these things, you will honor him and he will never be truly gone. I know you will do him proud! You always have. Love and God bless you all. You are in my prayers. Sheila Gordon

Gary - Anita Brown left a message on April 2, 2010:
To the family of Roy Patterson, I had the pleasure of working with Roy at Kohl's DC. He always had a smile, was a fair man & the best dispatcher I ever had! He stayed calm no matter what was going on & never made a mistake that I know of. He spoke often of his family & God & how he loved all of you. We are sorry that we were not at his funeral service. We did not know until today about the tragic accident & Roy's death until today. Hope that he had full military honors for all the service he gave to his country. May God Bless All of You & Comfort You. Sincerely, Gary & Anita Brown
