Roy P. Wisecarver, Jr.
Roy P. “Jimmy” Wisecarver, Jr., 65, of Martinsburg, Pennsylvania, formerly of Winchester, Virginia died Friday, September 28, 2012, in Nason Hospital, Roaring Springs, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Wisecarver was born in 1947, in Winchester, Virginia, the son of Lena C. Wisecarver of Winchester, Virginia, and the late Roy P. Wisecarver, Sr. Jimmy worked at Marker-Miller Orchards in Winchester, Virginia and also raised beef cattle for many years with his brother, Robert. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and also loved hunting, bluegrass music and collecting Farmall tractors.
Surviving with his mother is a son, Mark E. Wisecarver, and wife Sondra of Williamsburg, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, Clay and Emma Wisecarver; a brother, Robert W. Wisecarver of Winchester, Virginia and a sister, Carolyn Johnson of West Virginia.
Mr. Wisecarver was preceded in death by his father Roy P. Wisecarver, Sr., and a sister Ruth Boyd.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with the Pastor Lee D. Saylor officiating. Interment will be at Old Quaker Cemetery, Cedar Creek Grade, Winchester, Virginia.
The family will receive friends on Monday October 1, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
