Rosalie Mae Longerbeam, 85, of Winchester, Virginia, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017 in Winchester Medical Center.
Rosalie was born in 1932 in Winchester, Virginia, the daughter of the late Leo Haines and Clara Haines DeBrueler. She attended Handley High School. She retired from Wal-Mart, Infant’s Department, after 25 years of service at the Pleasant Valley Road location. She attended the Centenary United Church of Christ and was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Winchester Eagles. She loved her family, traveling to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, stock car racing, flea markets, and playing cards with family.
Rosalie married Roland W. Longerbeam who preceded her in death in 1972.
Surviving are her sons, Bruce Smith (Suzanne), Roland Dwayne Longerbeam, Roland Wayne Longerbeam and Michael Todd Longerbeam, all of Winchester, Virginia and James Bentley Longerbeam of Bunker Hill, West Virginia; brother, Ronald Haines of Winchester, Virginia; and sister, Mary Lou Haines Wise of Winchester, Virginia. Along with 8 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. A special thank you goes out to Rosalie’s care giver, Juanita Lindsey, for her loving care and devotion given to their mother and the family and friends who donated towards Rosalie’s funeral expenses.
In addition to her parents and husband, Rosalie is preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Culp and Margaret Lemley.
A committal service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday at Shenandoah Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Mr. Allan Lee Franks officiating. Entombment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park Mausoleum.
