Ronald “Ron/Ronnie” W. Strosnider, 71, of Winchester, Virginia passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017, at Blue Ridge Hospice Residential Care Facility surrounded by his family.
Mr. Strosnider was born in 1946 in Winchester, Virginia, the son of the late Robert and Reva Strosnider. He graduated from John Handley High School, Class of 1964. Ron worked in real estate all his life and was an award winning real estate broker and owner of Apple Manor Properties. He was a member of the Eagles Club, Terrace Club, and Moose Lodge; he enjoyed history, old movies (especially John Wayne movies), musical theater, vacationing in the Outer Banks and spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are daughters, Barbara L. Funkhouser and Brenna Strosnider; sons, Derrick E. Strosnider (Jennifer), Andy and Daniel Kerns; grandchildren, Chris Funkhouser (Emily), Justin Funkhouser, and Tyler Richards; great grandchildren, Tyler, Ava, Austin, Alijah, and Autumn; brother, Jerry Strosnider; sister, Terry Strosnider; and many beloved and dear friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 6 pm to 8 pm on Friday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 am on Saturday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Entombment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park Mausoleum.
