Ronald Lee Spicer
Ronald Lee Spicer, age 62, of Winchester, Virginia, died Saturday, December 22, 2012, in Golden Living Center Rose Hill, Berryville, Virginia.
Mr. Spicer was born in 1950, in Winchester, Virginia, the son of the late Edgar and Doris Spicer, Jr. He was a graduate of James Wood High School, Class of 1969. He was an Engineer at O’Sullivan Corporation and Lear Corporation. He was a veteran having served in the United States Coast Guard.
Ronnie married Joan Triplett on September 17, 1970 in Winchester, Virginia. She preceded him in death on April 12, 2004.
Surviving are his children, Amanda Henry and husband, James, of Winchester, Virginia and Matthew Spicer and wife, Allison, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, Liam and Rachel Henry and sister Linda Spicer Ryan and husband, James, of Winchester, Virginia.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Pastor Jerrad Holloway officiating. Military honors will be afforded by the local VFW Post 2123. Entombment will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society in honor of his late wife, Joan Spicer, 2654 Valley Avenue, Suite B, Winchester, VA 22601.
