Ron you were a good friend. Your cheese cakes were the best! Jim, so sorry for your loss. Mike and Dee
TIm and I are so sorry to hear of Ron's passing. We so enjoyed being his neighbors in the Iowa Condominium. That delicious smelling smoker and his warm smiles were always invitations to come and chat. Jim, we send you much love and our sincere condolences.
Warmly,
Judy and Tim
Ron will certainly be missed. He was such a nice person in school. He had the greatest smile. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
The memorial service for Ron was perfect in every way. It was an exceptional event for an exceptional friend. The venue was well chosen, and it helped to bring together family and friends from the many disparate places where Ron always had a powerful influence. It was great to see the room filled to capacity. One grand afternoon to celebrate one remarkable man, father, husband, grandfather, and friend.
So sorry for your the loss. I attended Ron’s service today and it was so thoughtful and befitting of a terrific person. I met Jim about 15+ years ago working at State Department and, sure enough, his and my most memorable discussion was on our preferences for how to make cheesecake and carrot cake. Ron will be missed.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.
With deepest sympathy to Jim and Ron’s entire family. Ron was a beautiful, thoughtful human being. He will truly be missed.

With deepest sympathies to our beloved Jim & the Hannas. We have many fun memories of dear Ron, a member our Iowa urban-then-country family. We all met and partied at the Iowa in DC, and we regrouped for special events downtown, feasts at Kurt & Ri’s in NoVa, & for his BBQ in Bentonville. Jeff and I loved visiting them in the country, either on the way to, or coming home from camping. We carry Ron’s kindness and friendship in our hearts for always. Love, Tina & Jeff
As one of the most travelled employees in passport services-Ron was always on my speed dial and always willing to assist. As many of my past and current colleagues in consular Affairs have written-he was always willing and ready to push last minute travel. No one knew more about government travel policy like Ron. My condolences to his loving family. May he Rest In Peace.

Our sympathies go out to Jim and the entire Hanna Family. Ron & Jim were neighbors of ours, in Washington, DC, prior to their move to Virginia. The entire IOWA Condominium complex adored Ron, who was famous, as others have said, for his delicious cheesecake. We were also blessed with hearing Ron's beautiful deep voice, during the old days when we all sang in the MCC Gospel Choir. Heaven's Angelic Choir is even more splendid now, with the addition of another fabulous voice! You will be missed dearly, my Brother.
My sincere condolences to all of Ron's family and friends. I enjoyed working with him very much and was so sad to hear of his passing. He was a great colleague and I will remember him fondly.
Mr. Ronald Hanna was an extraordinary man. He was always willing to assist in any capacity and sought resolutions to many problems we, at CPC had. He never got upset, even though there were times we would bug him. He was always calm, collected and professional. I am so sorry to hear of his passing!! Mr. Hanna will truly be missed!! My condolences and prayers go out to his family.
Dear Ron, you had the voice of an angel and a strong spirit. God called you home but you'll be missed. Rest in peace.

I knew Ron from the Department of State. He was very kind, patient, helpful, and always generous with his time and travel knowledge. Ron's voicemail was probably the only one I didn't mind reaching because hearing his voice say, "Welcome to my voicemail..." was always good for a giggle. Rest peacefully, Ron, and condolences, peace, and comfort to your family and friends.
My condolences Ron's family and friends. He was well-liked, admired and very patient!

Sending much love and care to the family. Ron was a great man and helped our program much. We were sad when he retired and heartbroken to hear this news. The Consular Affairs team and Acceptance Facility Oversight Team has many fond memories of Ron.
No greater man can there be, than he who helps his fellow man! That is Ron Hanna!! We, the many, are deeply saddened because Ron helped so many of us and treated each one of us with respect and extreme courtesy. Thank you Ron for your kindness! Our sincere condolences to the Hanna Family! - God Bless!
Condolences to Ron’s family and friends. I knew Ron at the Department of State. He was a delight to know. And he was one of the most helpful people there. Many times people needed to travel on short notice to assist Americans in emergency situations overseas. Countless times, Ron was the person who came through after hours and weekends to make those trips possible. He was the unsung hero behind many of our finest moments.
Ron was always so helpful and available whenever you needed him. Sending prayers to his family - I am so sorry for your loss.

So sad to hear this news. Ron was a great guy and we had many a good conversation over the years as he bailed me out of various travel-related jams. I remember talking to him on his last day at the Department as he was looking forward to retirement and time with his partner. My condolences to James and their families. Ron's dulcet tones will be sorely missed.

My thoughts go out to his family. Ron was a great person to work with. I will always remember the time when we were dealing with some chaos at work while I was sick. He took the time to write me a very personal message that basically told me to take care of myself above anything else. It was a very simple reminder, but it came at a time when I needed it most. I'm so grateful to have met and worked with Ron.
Oh Ron, I am so sorry to hear this sad news. You were an amazing colleague and always had a kind word to say. My sincere condolences to your family. May they hold the memories of you close to their hearts.

Our sincere condolences to Jim and all of Ron's family. Ron was a friend to all and leader at work, the kind of quiet lead-by-example person that we all love to work with. I had the pleasure of regularly receiving notes of praise about Ron's work such as "I knew our Travel team was awesome, but this last trip really underscored how much. " Ron's presence as a mentor to others, coworker, and friend is missed.
