Robert W. (Bob) Lofton, Jr. 81, of Stephens City, Virginia, passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer, at Sitter and Barfoot Veterans Care Center Saturday October 3, 2026, in Richmond, VA. Robert was born on June 18,1945 in Winchester VA, the son of the late Robert W. Lofton, Sr. and Myrtle Molden Lofton. He was a graduate of James Wood High School in Winchester, Class of 1964. He proudly served in the US Army and was a Viet Nam Veteran. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/Device Marksman, Vietnam Service Medal w/ Bronze Star and Overseas Service Bar.

Robert was preceded in death by his daughter Heather D. Lofton Miller. He is survived by four grandchildren, his last sibling, a sister Barbara L. Sardelis (husband Steve), a niece, several nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and one Aunt Alice Good of Winchester.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 12pm to 12:30pm at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. Interment for Robert will be held following the visitation at 1pm in Shenandoah Memorial Park Mausoleum.
