Robert W. Duvall
Robert Wilson Duvall, 86, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Friday, February 18, 2011, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Duvall was born in 1924, in Frederick County, Virginia, the son of the late Roy and Mamie Duvall. He was employed as a carpenter with Howard Shockey & Sons and the Winchester Church of God. Mr. Duvall was a member of Winchester Church of God. He was a veteran who served during World War II in the United States Marine Corps.
He married Mary Agnes Scott on September 10, 1951, in Frederick County, Virginia.
Surviving with his wife is his daughter, Mary Virginia Duvall Ways and husband, D. Kirk Ways of Ringoes, New Jersey; granddaughter, Meggan Elisabeth Ways of New York, New York; two sisters, Catherine Douglas Swimley and Betty Duvall Livengood; and one brother, John W. “Jack” Duvall.
His son, Robert Wilson “Brodie” Duvall, Jr.; four sisters, Margaret Duvall, Frances Fishpaw, Dorothy Duvall, Rachel Jean Duvall and eight brothers, Ferman, Charles, Reginald, Donald, Weeden, Braxton, Louis, and Richard Duvall preceded him in death.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Monday, at Winchester Church of God with Pastors Darrell Waller and Kent Woodward officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, Virginia.
The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 1:00-2:00 PM at the church.
