Robert “Bob” Lee Cook
Robert Lee Cook, 91, of Front Royal, Virginia, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013, in VA Medical Center, Martinsburg, West Virginia.
Mr. Cook was born in 1921, in Shenandoah County, Virginia, the son of the late Floyd and Laura Cook. Bob was Veteran having served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a self – employed Plumber and Electrician Contractor, retiring after 38 years of service.
His first wife, Elsie Morris of Edinburg, proceeded in him in death on November 2, 2007.
Mr. Cook married Imogene Marston on December 3, 1966, in Woodstock, Virginia.
Surviving with his wife are five daughters, Peggy Runion and husband, Albert, of Woodbridge, Virginia; Betty Carper of Edinburg, Virginia, Jean Taylor of Manassas, Virginia, Jane Racey and her husband, Jeff, of Fishers Hill, Virginia, Judy Funkhowser and husband, Andrew, of Edinberg, Virginia; three sons, Jerry Cook and his wife, Linda, of Strasburg, Virginia, Robert Cook, Jr. of Woodstock, Virginia, Daniel Cook and his wife, Stacy, of Front Royal, Virginia; as well as over 60 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and Great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters.
A Memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Saturday at the Seventh Day Adventist Church Front Royal, Virginia. The Cook family will have a time of gathering following the service.
