Robert Jackson Carter, 73, of Winchester, VA, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Winchester Medical Center.

Robert was born in 1950 in Virginia, the son of the late Hillary and Myrtle Carter. He served our country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army. Robert retired as a Sanitation Maintenance Worker for Loudoun Water. He loved gardening, plumbing, and watching NASCAR and wrestling. Robert also enjoyed going out to eat, especially at the Hayfield Family Restaurant.

He is survived by his daughters, Rebecca L. Carter, Jackie L. Hegberg (Lee); stepdaughters, Kimberly L. Craig, Angela D. Betor; grandchildren, Abram Hegberg, Adelynn Allowatt, Ariella Hegberg and Colten Allowatt; step-grandchildren, Austin Martin, Hayley Martin and Wilensah Betor and one brother and several sisters.

Along with his parents, Robert is preceded in death by one brother and several sisters.

Services for Robert will be at a later date.
