Robert “Robbie” Foster Delauter, 45, of Winchester, Virginia died Monday, February 15, 2016 at his home.

Mr. Delauter was born in 1970, in Winchester, Virginia, the son of Carol and Roger U. Delauter, Jr. He was a graduate of John Handley High School, Class of 1989 and Shenandoah University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in History. Mr. Delauter was the owner and operator of Ultimate Music, Inc., in Winchester for seven years. He was a great guitar player who loved playing his many guitars. He enjoyed playing on the Atari, Nintendo and Sega Gaming systems. He was also a wonderful guitar teacher. Robbie made Youtube Videos and enjoyed listening to music, especially with great guitar playing.

He married Lydia Delauter on April 20, 2000, in Winchester.

Surviving with his parents and his wife is his sister, Susan Sigler and husband, William, all of Winchester; and nieces, Avery Sigler of Winchester, Jessica Nathania and Vinny both of Indonesia.

A memorial service will be conducted at Braddock Street United Methodist Church in the chapel on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 2:00 PM. Interment will be private.

Arrangement are being handled by Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

I am so sorry for your loss. I want to offer my sincere condolences to the family.

One of the greatest, gifted and talented guitarist/musician and I always adore him playing his guitars... He's been a loyal and loving husband for me for almost 16 years of marriage. Rest In Peace Rob and I'm sure that he still watching over me as his wife and to our store "Ultimate Music, Inc." I love you forever and wait for me !!

Robbie was my loyal husband for almost 16 years of marriage. I was shocked to find out that he passed away and I was the one who called 911 that day, after I finished my job and worked long 12 hours... He was a talented, gifted and great guitarist/musician and very passion with video gaming stuffs. My sister and my brother-in-law loves him and they spoilled him. He loves to be in Bali and I accompanied him performed on stage with The DB8 from The Philippines Hard Rock Bali Beach Hotel In House Band). Rest In Peace honey, I'm sure that you still watching me as your wife and our store "Ultimate Music, Inc." And I will see you soon...!!

Robbie, I don't know you but my son was obsessed with your store. He would walk there almost every weekend. He thought you were the coolest guy. He often watched your youtube channel and was so very sad to hear of your passing. Rest in Peace.

The Year was 1990 and I was looking for someone to collaborate with and little known then would a relationship begin with this amazing musician, dedicated and meticulous are the best words. He like it "LOUD" lol . Our friendship grew and over the years we lost touch through we did keep in contact, I wish we only had taken more time as most losses happen its never known, My friend I will miss you and our conversations and so many moments of musical inspiration. May your wings now carry you forward my brother, our joke "This one goes to eleven" ~ Spinal Tap, well play as loud as the heavens will let you, Till we meet again RIP Robbie. So sorry to hear of Robbie passing on. I met Robbie through Chris Duplantis and many Jam sessions. Robbie was a gifted guitarist who loved to share his musical talents by teaching me new licks and helping bridge road blocks. He also had a huge heart. Robbie will be sorely missed by many people including myself. GOD Speed Robbie - I will see you again my friend. <3

I am so sorry for the loss of Robbie. I met Robbie through Chris Duplantis playing in a garage band. Robbie was always nice to me, loved to share his musical talent, teaching me new licks all the time and had a huge heart. I will always cherish the time we were able to spend together. So sorry for your loss. Robby and I used to hang out in high school after I met him in music class. To say he was a gifted guitarist was an understatement. I lost touch with him after I joined the Navy, and I always assumed he would go in do to great things in music and it sounds like he did just that.

I didn't know him, but if he was anything like his mother, he must have been a great son.

Robbie as i called you. You were a good man i enjoyed our hour long conversations about video games.
