Bobby (Bay) Levi was a life long member of Berryville Baptist church, and my high school age Sunday School teacher when he returned from VMI. He was one of the most outstanding athletes at Berryville high school. He and his wife , Nancy, became good friends, and my wife and I played tennis with them at Stonebrook and bridge afterwards. I never heard him say a bad word about anybody. He will be missed.

I have known Bobby most of my life. Watching him play softball at Jim Barnett Park, watching many sporting events in the area. Mostly though I got to know him best these past years playing golf and just having coffee and remembering the "good old days". He had a good sense of humor and was always the gentleman. Hit 'em straight Bobby.

I really enjoyed working and playing golf with Bobby, we had a lot of great times. He had an outstanding memory, and was always telling stories about his friends, people he knew and things that happened in Berryville and Clarke County. One of the funniest stories I like to tell about Bobby was, we were playing golf on the 4th hole at Shenandoah Valley Country Club and while he was getting ready to putt a baby squirrel came across the green and ran up his pants leg, he missed the putt.

Bill and I will miss our friend Bobby. Loved sharing stories about football and the “good ole days” in Berryville. Bobby and Nancy were quite a team and our church will miss them in so many ways. Their service and gifts were a blessing.
