Robbie Newcome left a message on March 12, 2014:
My Grandma, Shelby "Jeanie" Greenfield" was Bob's secretary for many years at Att/Lucent until her retirement. She passed away this past January but I wanted to express our deepest condolences on her behalf as well as that of our family. Many of us in the family only met Bob a few times but it was well known how much she enjoyed working with him and how highly she thought of him.

Brenda and family, I want to express my deepest sympathy with your loss of Bob. I worked under his leadership at the AT&T building in Martinsburg WV. I will always remember his smile and respect him for the leadership he gave us in getting us as a team to reach his goals for the warehouse. It was so good to see you both at the picnic this past year and I will hold that memory.

I have been thinking about all of you for the last week. I hope you are leaning on each other to get through your loss. If there is one thing I was taught from Bob it was that there is nothing more important than your family. At every function that he attended you could see the pride and love for his family on his face. He also made everyone around him feel like a part of this special unit.. Thank you Bob for being such a special person.

My deepest sympathy for your family. Bob was truly a man of great character and compassion. I always enjoyed talking to him when he would come to the gym to workout. He always filled me in on the happenings of Winchester when I was out of town. I hadn't seen him in the past 15 years, but he will always have a special place in my heart because of the way he treated people. Always the same, always with a smile. Prayers for healing and joy knowing he is in a peaceful place.

Rick spent a lot of time with Bob in the OR; as a patient, he was always #1. We regret not being at the memorial service as we are out of town seeing another relative in Hospice.
