Richard William “Gimzo” Johnson, 33, of Winchester, Virginia passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at his home.

Gimzo was born in 1987 in Loudoun County, Virginia, son of Mary Johnson and the late Wallace Frye. He attended Loudoun County High School was employed as a commercial cleaner. Gimzo loved fishing, playing cards, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

Surviving with his mother are his children, Tiffany, Eric, and Robert Davenport, all of Tennessee; two grandchildren; and brothers, Wallace Lee Johnson of Leesburg, Virginia, Levi William Johnson of Winchester, Virginia, Charles Willard Johnson of Bluemont, Virginia, David and Travis Frye, both of Winchester, Virginia, and Joseph Frye of Charlestown, West Virginia.

Along with his father, Gimzo was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Ann Johnson.

All services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
