Richard “Rick” Ferguson
Richard William “Rick” Ferguson, Jr., 58, of Clearbrook, Virginia, died Thursday, October 28, 2010, in his home.
Mr. Ferguson was born in 1951, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the son of Richard William and Wanda Marie Ferguson of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was a welder and a member of Brucetown United Methodist Church. Mr. Ferguson was also a member of the V.F.W. in Pittsburgh. He was a Veteran having served in the United States Air Force during the Viet Nam Conflict.
He married Terry Stine Ferguson on June 28, 1986, in Winchester, Virginia.
Surviving with his wife and parents are his daughters, Jennifer McDonald of Pittsburgh;, Jessica Lynne James of Clearbrook, Virginia; son, Paul Richard Ferguson of Clearbrook; step-daughter, Sarah Boyce of Verona, Virginia, grandchildren, Andrew and Jake McDonald; Hayleigh and Ava Jane Boyce, David Jesse James and Dakota Lily James; sister, Juanita Steckel and her husband, Eric, of Baltimore, Maryland; nephew, John Cykowski and his daughter, Madeline; nieces, Ericka Steckel and Allison Steckel and her son, Austin Steckel. One nephew, Michael Steckel preceded him in death.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday at Brucetown United Methodist Church with Reverend Robert Schoeman officiating. Interment will be private
The family will receive friends on Monday evening form 6:00-8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
