Jessica Long left a message on May 21, 2010:
Dear Monica, Dad (Larry Hoffman), and Nana (Vivian Hoffman), and Aunt Lindey, I was so sad to hear about Uncle Richie's death. He meant a lot to me and he was a very important part of our family that can never be replaced but will always be remembered fondly. I always enjoyed going to his and Monica's house for different holiday gatherings, usually Thanksgiving, when we were growing up. His excitement about life and culture was infectious and, as many of the Hoffmans, he had a way with story telling that I never grew tired of. Of course I will never forget his generosity and the love he had for our family and people in general. He will be missed. We are praying for you all. Love, Jessica, Nathan, and Ally
