Rhett M. Goldizen

Rhett Martin Goldizen, 17, of Frederick County, Virignia, died Thursday, October 18, 2012, in his home.

Rhett was born in 1995 in Winchester, Virginia, the son of Steven Martin and Barbara Bell Goldizen both of Shephenson, Virginia. He was a senior at James Wood High School in Frederick County. He attended the Youth group at Woodbine Assembly of God. Rhett had his own band “Metaphor and Memory” and was very artistic.

Surviving with his parents are four sisters, Tina Millard and husband, Daniel, of Ellicott City, Maryland, Angie Goldizen-Safford and husband, Shayne, of Sheperdstown, West Virignia. Tara LaBossiere of Martinsburg, West Virignia, Victoria Goldizen of Stephenson, Virginia; one brother, Ernest Payne and wife, Lisa, of Frederick, Maryland; and grandparents, Osa and Maxine Goldizen of Winchester, Virginia.

Rhetts grandparents, Joseph Dorsey and Jane Howes, preceded him in death.

The family will receive friends on Sunday evening, from 7:00-9:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Reverend Stephanie Fox officiating. Interment will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shenandoah Arts Council and Gallery, 811 South Loudoun Street, Winchester, Virginia 22601.
