Rebecca Loy Carper, 93 of Winchester, VA, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Winchester Medical Center.

Rebecca was born in 1931 in Gainesboro, VA, the daughter of the late William and Inez Loy. She retired as a hairdresser. Rebecca was a member of Sunnyside Presbyterian Church as well as a church elder. Rebecca enjoyed gardening and quilting but most of all loved spending time with her family and friends.

She married Ryland Scott “Pete” Carper on May 2, 1951, in Old Stone Church, Winchester, VA. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2021.

Rebecca is survived by her son, Barry K. Carper (Deborah) of Winchester, VA, grandchildren, Stephanie Rene Feltner (Josh) of Winchester, VA, Jenifer Lynn Mobley (Marcus) of Winchester, VA; great-grandchildren, Teagan, Kinsey and Maxwell all of Winchester, VA.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Harry, Kenneth, Linwood and Calvin.

All services for Rebecca will be private.
