Raymond Gilbert Myers, Sr, 75, of Ridgeway, WV passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024.
Known as “Peanut” to his family, Raymond was born in Moorefield, WV in April 1949, the son of the late Grover and Mae (Reel) Myers. He is survived by one daughter, Mazie M. Myers of Huntsville, AL; one sister, Molly Fetzer; two brothers, Ralph Myers and Scott Myers; and several nieces and nephews. He had a special place in his heart for his nephew, Robert “Johnson” Roberts (Lora), of Clear Brook, VA and his best friends Ricky Gwinn and Kenny Ours, both of Bunker Hill, WV. He held a deep affection for his chosen second family at Panhandle Dumpsters, LLC of Martinsburg, WV. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa (Roberts) Myers; his son, Raymond G. Myers, Jr.; two sisters, Lola Myers and Bonnie Everhart; four brothers, John, Pete, Jack, and Courtney Myers.
For many years, he was an avid hunter and gardener and enjoyed sharing his homemade jerky and harvest. He thrived on helping others and will be remembered for the countless stories he shared on his many escapades. Raymond wanted his services to be private, and for all who knew him to remember the stories he told them and how he made them feel. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
