Raymond “Spike” Gilbert Myers, Jr., 48, of Martinsburg, WV, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024.
Spike was born on February 10, 1975, in Winchester, VA, the son of Raymond Gilbert Myers, Sr. and the late Theresa (Roberts) Myers. Spike graduated from Musselman High School in 1993 and has been a loyal and dedicated machine operator for Continental (formerly O’Sullivans/Lear) in Winchester, VA for almost 30 years.
Everyone who met Spike immediately recognized his quick wit and unique sense of humor. He was intelligent and adept at mechanical and engineering, which aided him to enjoy his favorite past-time of working on his vehicles. He spent endless hours on the preservation of his favorite Ford and restoring it with original parts. When anyone saw this vehicle coming they knew it was him.
Spike was a life-long Pittsburgh Steelers fan and over the years enjoyed watching many games. He enjoyed the games most when he was watching with his faithful furry companions. Spike cared for many dogs, but his favorite companion and best friend will always be remembered as Diablo, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his mother, Theresa (Roberts) Myers of Bunker Hill, WV.
Spike is survived by his father, Raymond Gilbert Myers, Sr. of Bunker Hill, WV and his sister, Mazie M. Myers of Huntsville, AL.
Spike’s interment and services will be private. He will be sadly missed and will always hold a place in our hearts.
