Raymond A. Swain III, 22, of Winchester, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026. He was born on July 15, 2003, in Winchester, Virginia, the son of Raymond A. Swain Jr. and Kathryn B. (Bayliss) Swain, both of whom survive.
Trey was a high school graduate. He was of the Christian faith. Trey had a vibrant personality and a joyful spirit that left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He loved music, enjoyed being a foodie, and cherished spending time with his family, especially at gatherings he always looked forward to. He found happiness in simple pleasures like watching cartoons, especially SpongeBob SquarePants, and playing computer games. He was a lover of animals especially dogs and cats. Trey was known for his beautiful smile, his wonderful laugh, and his kind, pure heart. He was deeply loved by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Trey is survived by his brothers, Andrew Swain, Cameron Bowers, and Allen Swain and his paternal grandparents, Raymond A. and Judith Swain. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Barbara Bayliss.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Pastor Bobby Basham officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Following the service a time of food and fellowship will take place at The Winchester Eagles Lodge #824.
