Ray was such a positive influence in my children's lives when they attended John Kerr Middle School. He understood children. He was a good, gentle man, a truly Christian man and a good friend to so many. He is now totally well with his eyesight restored. Sadly missed.

Troy Wilson left a message on October 13, 2015:
I remember Mr. Chapman when he first started at the Old John Kerr under Mrs. Sargeant. It was a fair but stern principal. Once we transitioned to the New John Kerr he was the principal and dealt with a very fair but swift hand. Many will not remember that time in our school history but he was definitely an integral part. I respected him for his abilitIy to manage change and look into the future. I pass along my condolences and respect for your loved one.
