Ray F. Griffith, Sr.

Ray Frederick Griffith, Sr., 93, of Stephens City, VA, died Sunday, April 28, 2013, in the Winchester Medical Center.

Mr. Griffith was born in 1920, in Winchester, Virginia, the son of the late Ernest and Margaret Griffith.  He was a veteran of the United States Army, and was employed as a production worker for Abex until his retirement after 26 years of service. He was a member of Mountain View Church of Christ for 66 years.

Mr. Griffith was married to Frances Crosen Griffith, who preceded him in death on March 21, 2007.

Surviving are three sons, Ray Griffith, Jr. and wife, Leta, of Berryville, VA, Archie Griffith of Stephens City, VA, and Michael Griffith and wife, Paula, of Panama City, FL; five grandchildren, Valerie Griffith Gordon and husband, J.R., Rachel Griffith Skrabel and husband, Charlie, Michael Griffith, Paul Griffith and Jonathan Griffith; four great grandchildren, Brittany, Victoria, Makayla, Gabriel, and a sister, Helen Funkhouser of Winchester, VA. He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the Church of Christ at Mountain View..
