Randall “Randy” Ray Hamilton
Randall Ray Hamilton, 60, of Winchester, Virginia, died Tuesday, November 8, 2011, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Hamilton was born in 1951, in Washington D.C. the son of the late William F. and Cornelia Hamilton.
He graduated from Madison College in Harrisonburg, Virginia and later received the degree of Juris Doctor from the Delaware Law School of Widener University. He was an attorney and a member of the Winchester and Frederick County Bar.
He married Margaret Dent on July 5, 1975, at Duncan Memorial Methodist Church in Berryville, Virginia.
Surviving with his wife are two sisters, Barbara Smith and husband, Bob, of Alexandria, Virginia, Mary Beth Kiernan and her husband, Tom, of Virginia Beach, Virginia. He is also survived by nephews, Aaron Smith, Grayson Smith, Daniel Kiernan, Zachary Kiernan and niece, Caitlin Kiernan; his step-mother, Elizabeth Thompson and her sons, Mark Thompson and Thomas Thompson, his brother-in-law, Max Dent and wife, Nina Shepherd of Columbia, South Carolina; sister-in-law, Margaret Dent of Bridgewater, Virginia and longtime business colleague, Sue Woodill of Stephens City, Virginia.
A Memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Monday, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Reverend William Anthony Layman officiating. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 2:00-5:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
