Tom Dixon Sherrill, NY left a message on October 8, 2020:
I, like many in the Oneida area will always remember Eddie as a cheerful, fun loving guy. Whenever there was a cause or a celebration, if Ed was involved you knew it was going to be a lot of fun and a huge success ! Be it the K of C, St Pats Parents Club, or the Oneida High Sports Boosters, Eddie was the ringleader who made everything happen. I still remember Eddie holding court at the huge CCO parties on St Patrick’s Day and following up the evening at Flanagans. After leaving Oneida, I enjoyed seeing Ed and his girls at Notre Dame football games.. After the games, before we left , we would have a beer in the parking lot where Ed would tell stories and analyze the game. There is one hell of a party in heaven now where Tom Conley, Frank Dacey and Joey Carmolla are waiting to share a cold one and catch up with their friend. Best wishes to all the Costellos and know that Ed will always be remembered with a smile. TD

My heart goes out to the Costello family. I loved your Dad. He was kind, funny, loving and so inviting. He was my friend. I pray for you all and for the smooth passing of Ed into his beautiful next chapter. He'll be waiting with open arms for all of you - and no doubt having fun while he waits. Love to you all. Jeff
