Phyllis Jean (Roberts) Saville, 73, of Winchester, Virginia died Tuesday, October 8, 2013 in the Blue Ridge Hospice Residential Center.
Mrs. Saville was born in 1940 in West Virginia, the daughter of the late Dorothy R. Shreck. She was self-employed as a caregiver for the elderly for local nursing homes and private individuals until her retirement in 2002. She was a member of the Winchester Moose Club. Mrs. Saville loved her grandchildren, and her cats very much.
Her husband, Harry Elwood Saville, whom she married on August 4, 1956, preceded her in death on May 10, 2007.
Surviving are two daughters, Vickie Wine of Stephens City, VA and Tina Mullins (Steve), of Middletown, VA; three sons, Michael E. Saville (Georgia) of Winchester, VA, Gregory L. Saville, also of Winchester, and Ken “Red” Shackelford (Donna) of Front Royal, VA; seven grandchildren, Molly Saville, James Saville, Chelsea Mullins, Stevie Mullins, Holden Mullins, Caleb Wine and Connor Wine; a great granddaughter, Gigi Mullins, and a brother, Steve Shreck (Sonja) of Bunker Hill, WV.
Mrs. Saville was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Shackelford.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Jason Duley officiating. Entombment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers will be Richard King, Rick King, David Dabay, James Saville, Stevie Mullins, and Holden Mullins.
