Mrs. Baker was always a joy to be around. Her caring nature and sense of humor made a difference many of my high school days (and I imagine it was the same for many others). What a light of love she shone to all! She truly made the world a better place.

When I first moved to Orchard Ridge, I was so stressed trying to deal with several family issues. Phyllis happened to find me praying in the chapel and spent time talking with me, sharing her own briefs and concerns. It was such a blessing to me.

We attended Kernstown UMC as guests, watching our grandchildren grow there and attending the Contatas at Easter and Christmas. My husband and I were always made to feel so welcomed by your church family, especially by Mrs. Baker. She was a lovely lady, whom I always enjoyed talking with. Our prayers and condolences are with your family. May she rest in eternal peace and love???❤️‍?✝️

To Phyllis’ family, My condolences on your loss. She was a blessing to know and a valued member of the church (KUMC). She shared her friendship with me when I also became a widow years ago and I will remember her compassion to me during a difficult time. Terice Harris
