Words fail to express my condolences to the family of Ms. Jones, but by saying family I include myself. When you spend so much time with your co-workers you become like an extended family, with all the quirky, unique, and special characters that you come to expect in your own family. And when we lose someone, it affects us all, because she was part of our combined story...our shared legacy. Ms. Jones once told me that there were two ways to live life. Either you go out an "old" person with no qualms and no regrets and no bridges burnt, or you crash and burn at the finish line from living as hard as you wanted to live, squeezing the essence out of every moment. I always believed that Ms. Jones lived the latter, taking life with both hands and getting the most out of every day. May the Lord God bless you and yours in your time of loss, and provide a comfort that only He can give.
