Pete and I met in Lynchburg, VA when he came to work at a Cardinal Airlines in 1972. We flew together and bonded immediately. We crossed paths several times over the years...he stayed at my apartment when he flew with Air Virginia and I roomed at his house when I first moved to Richmond. He married Jeanne and what a wonderful couple they made! He was a excellent pilot, a Southern Gentleman of the Old School, a teller of tall tales, a great American. My heart goes out to his family. The Lord brings comfort in this time of grief through the blessing of having had a place in his life.
