Peggy Bonita Berryman Foster, 72, of Frederick County, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Winchester Medical Center.
Mrs. Foster was born in 1946, in Winchester, Virginia, the daughter of the late Olivia May and James Edward Berryman, Sr. She was a graduate of James Wood High School, class of 1964. Mrs. Foster was a former proofreader with the Winchester Evening Star. She attended First Assembly of God in Winchester and later attended Calvary Church of the Brethren for the past 10 years. Mrs. Foster enjoyed needle point, sewing, cross stitch and many other crafts.
She married John William Foster, Jr., on May 12, 1965, in Maryland.
Surviving with her husband is her sister, Linda J. Messick (Roy, Jr.) of Winchester, Virginia.
One brother, James Edward Berryman, Jr., preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends on Monday, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, prior to the service, at Calvary Church of the Brethren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Monday at Calvary Church of the Brethren with Pastor Chuck Davis officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Doug Kerns, Melvin Anderson, Smokey Wilson, Robert M. Loggins, W.F. Artrip, Jeff Foster, Don Cain, Paul D. Halderman, Richard Keller.
