Paul B. Parker passed away on August 24, 2026, at Hilltop Assisted Living in Winchester, VA.
Paul was born on March 28, 1938, in Hardy County, WV. He was the son of the late Branson and Effie Hammond Parker.
He retired from Perry Engineering of Winchester after 25 years of service as a heavy equipment operator.
Paul was married to Jeanie Funk Parker on December 22, 1990, and she preceded him in death.
He is survived by his children, Joe Parker, James Parker, Paul Mongold, Effie Miller, Karen Haines, Paul Parker, Jr., Robert Parker, Pauline Roberts and his stepchildren, Norma Willey, Herbert Funk, Richrd Funk, Linda Brown, and Frances Shirley. He is also survived by one sister, Rena Seivers.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, wife and 5 sisters and 4 brothers.
Paul was a gentle soul who loved to go fishing and watch NASCAR. He also loved telling stories about his childhood and his days of cutting and hauling wood.
He and his wife Jeanie made their home in Wardensville, WV for over 30 years. They loved their home, sitting on the front porch and spending time with their family. He and Jeanie enjoyed visiting one of their favorite places, Blackwater Falls and the fall trips they took together as a family.
Paul is at peace now being reunited with his wife Jeanie in their heavenly home.
A visitation will be held for Paul on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 6pm to 8pm at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 11am in in Green Hill Cemetery in Stephens City, VA.
