Oh Patrick, I saw your obituary on New Year’s Eve and felt like someone knocked me sideways. I am heartbroken knowing you are no longer roaming this planet with your sharp wit and generous spirit. It has been a minute since we connected, and I don’t know what happened, but you were far too young to be taken. My friend, I promise to remember all of the amazing experiences and adventures we shared including the infamous red light photo, the Belgian beer pub crawl, Erdinger on tap at Hard Times (and you getting carded but not I and telling the server you were my son lol), the Eggenberg pils at Tuskies, ghost tours, dog walking in the rain, Williamsburg, Annapolis, Philly, Fell’s Point, the Outerbanks, Old Town, the National Harbor, almost Las Vegas, the hot air balloon ride, Carpool, the Old Brogue, Bonefish, Hunters Head, Magnolias, Marrakech, the Inn at Little Washington, the Brickskeller, Paolo’s, Chez Francois, the Melting Pot, Clydes, too many steak houses to count, Krispy Kreme, the French Hound, the Beastie Bazaar, Land Cruisers, Garmin, Nick’s wedding and the cat sized rat, that enormous belt buckle you wore, NCTM, Uncle Chuck, Cirque and the rather scary Rainbow Road Club where Patsy Cline got her start. Patsy’s grave says “Death cannot kill what never dies.” Your friends and loved ones will always remember the love and fondness we felt and will continue to feel for you. You will be missed.

My sincere condolences to Patrick's friends and family. My heart broke when I heard the news. I worked with Patrick of Fannie Mae and i've known him about ten years or so. I loved working with him. He always was easy to work with and made me laugh. He was always full of crazy stories about his motorcycle and the stuffed gorilla that used to ride on the back of his bike. I will miss laughing with him. Sharing a drink together at happy hour, hanging out at holiday parties and company events; talking about motorcycles/riding and everything else!! God bless your beautiful soul, Patrick! Rest in peace my friend!

I can't help but smile when I think about every conversation with Patrick. His humor, kindness, and joyful presence will forever leave its mark on us. He is someone that would pick up the phone, without fail, and bring a little happiness to anyone's day. His support for us and willingness to give assistance never wavered. I wouldn't hesitated to ask him questions or tap into his vast knowledge, and he always answered with patience and understanding. He was someone I could count on, as he was for so many others at Fannie Mae. I feel incredibly grateful that I had the privilege of working with him in person, of sharing a space with his smile, even if it was too brief. His departure has left a void in this team that cannot be filled. We will forever miss our incredible colleague and dear friend.

Patrick was a remarkable person—someone who brought light and laughter to everyone around him. His friendly nature and infectious sense of humor made him a joy to be around, whether in the office or outside of it. Always ready with a helping hand, he consistently went above and beyond for the team, providing support and insight whenever needed. His passion for volunteering was equally inspiring, as he dedicated so much of his time and energy to making a positive impact in his community. Beyond his generosity and kindness, Patrick's professionalism stood out in his work. His reports were thorough, clear, and well-organized, a true reflection of his attention to detail and commitment to excellence. He was more than just a colleague—he was a friend, and a source of constant positivity. His absence is deeply felt, and he will be missed by all who had the privilege of working with him and knowing him.

Patrick was a work friend of mine at Fannie Mae. What I remember most was the 10 plus year difference of opinion on which song was better Fall Down or All I Want by Toad the Wet Sprocket. We had a lot of laughs over that. Peace be upon your family and Loved ones.
