Patricia Ann Benner

Date of Death: June 21, 2011

Linda Gail Hoover Jones, 56, of Winchester, Virginia, died Monday, June 20, 2011 and sister, Patricia Ann Hoover Benner, 58, of Winchester, Virginia, died Tuesday, June 21, 2011, both in Winchester Medical Center.

Linda was born in 1955, in Winchester and Patricia was born in 1954, in Winchester the daughters of Victor Emerson and Helen June Hoover of Winchester, Virginia.

Mrs. Jones was the owner operator of Linda’s House Cleaning Service for many years.

Surviving is her son, Donald “Donnie” F. Mercier, Jr. of Winchester; her grandson, Ethan Conner Mercier; two brothers, Richard Hoover and his wife, Wie, of Culpeper and Dana Hoover and his wife, Ruth, of Stephens City. Her sister, Patricia A. Benner, passed away a few hours later.

Mrs. Benner was a florist arranger with Webbers Florist in Winchester.

Surviving is her daughter, Melissa “Missy” Hernandez of Winchester; three grandchildren, Alexus McNorton, Alex McNorton and Aaron Hernandez, and her brothers, Richard Hoover and Dana Hoover. Her sister, Linda G. Jones, preceded her in death.

A funeral service for Patricia and Linda will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Pastor Mark Kennerly officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, Virginia.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
