Pamela Y. Cornwell
Pamela Yvonne (Mills) Cornwell, 61, went home to be with the Lord on January 29, 2014 at her home in Middletown, VA.
Mrs. Cornwell was born on October 4, 1952 in Petersburg, WV, the daughter of Beulah McCauley and the late Hillary Mills. Pam was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a graduate of Handley High School, Class of 1971, and Lord Fairfax Community College with an Associate Degree in accounting. She spent her time giving to her family, loving her grandchildren, and working at Papermill Place where she greeted customers with a friendly smile. She was the foundation of her family and will be deeply missed by everyone that loved and knew her.
She married Warren “Buster” Cornwell on September 14, 1973 in Winchester, Virginia.
Surviving with her mother and her husband are two sons, Jason and Bryan Cornwell, a daughter, Krista Cornwell, a sister, Brenda McCauley, a brother, Kenneth Ray Van Meter, and two grandchildren, Caleb and Eli Cornwell.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hillary Mills, a sister, Vicky McCauley and a daughter, Kelly Cornwell.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Greenway Spirit and Word Fellowship, 1275 Tasker Road, Stephens City, Virginia with Pastor Bob Vineyard officiating. Interment will be private.
