Ortha Ray Short Williams

Ortha Ray Short Williams, 78, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Sunday, July 3, 2011, in Winchester Medical Center.

Mrs. Williams was born in 1933, in Webster County, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Okey E. and Velmar Short. She was a press operator with O’Sullivan, retiring in 1990 after 23 years of service. She was of the Baptist Faith.

Surviving is her daughter, Anna Smeltzer and husband, Robert ,of Winchester; her son, Jeffery D. Williams of Gore; four granddaughters, Theresa Ann Neff and husband, Daniel, Tammy Lynn Buckley and husband, Robert III, Carrie Beth Williams and Brooke Evan Williams; one great granddaughter, Katie Williams and her sister, Corenia Combs and husband, Lawrence, of Baker, West Virginia.

Three sisters and four brothers preceded her in death.

All services with Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel will be private.
