Onnolee Robison Carson
Mrs. Onnolee Robison Carson, age 91, of Winchester, VA, former resident of both Richmond, VA and Woodstock, VA, died Friday, March 23, 2012, at Winchester Medical Center. Mrs. Carson was born in 1920 in Duck Creek, WV, the daughter of the late John and Lelah Robison. She had been a secretary for Virginia Forest, Inc. in Richmond and she was a homemaker. She was an avid gardener and landscaper and a member of various garden clubs. She was a graduate of Salem College. Mrs. Carson was a veteran, having served as E-6 Staff Sergeant with the United States Marine Corp. This career was exclusively at Henderson Hall, Washington DC at USMC headquarters.
She married John William Carson on July 25, 1948, in Christiansburg, VA.
Surviving with her husband is a brother, Carl Calvin Robison of Antrim, Ohio. She was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Raybuck.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, 1260 Front Royal Pike, Winchester, VA with Reverend Tim Arnold officiating. Entombment will follow at Shenandoah Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel on Tuesday from 12:00 Noon until service time at 2:00 P.M.
