Norma Jean Capps Frantz, 87, of Frederick County, Virginia, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023 at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA.

Mrs. Frantz was born in 1935, in Cumberland County, KY, the daughter of the late Maury Belle and Curtis Hall Capps. She was formerly employed as an Office Manager with K-Mart.

Mrs. Frantz love animals who enjoyed raising dogs and gardening, as well as, sewing and painting.

She married Ronald Franklin Frantz on November 3, 1970, in Alamogordo, NM. Mr. Frantz preceded her in death on August 30, 2022.

Surviving are daughters, Barbara Glower (Lawrence), Rhonda Shifflett (Charles) all of Winchester, VA, Melanie Sears of Stephens City, VA; sons, Chester Woods, Michael Lykins (Beth), Ronald Hamilton (Teresa) all of Indianapolis, IN; 22 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren. Survivors also include sisters, Irene Mcintosh of AZ and Florence Marie of CA.

Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by daughter, Vicky Bates, son, Ronald F. Frantz, II, sister, Yvonne Cable and three brothers, Curtis, Jr., Richard and Edward Capps.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, March 30, 2023, from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm, at Omps funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, March 31, 2023, at 12:00 pm at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
