Nellie H. Headley

Nellie Heishman Headley, 95, of Stephens City, Virginia, died Friday, September 7, 2012, in Winchester Medical Center.

Mrs. Headley was born in 1917 in Lost River, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Arthur and Josephine Heishman. She was a retired employee of Avtex Fibers in Front Royal, Virginia. She was a member of Winchester Grace Brethren Church. Mrs. Headley was a member of the Home Demonstration Club in Winchester and enjoyed gardening.

She married Kenneth S. Headley in 1942. He preceded her in death on September 27, 2006.

Surviving is her daughter, Becky Long and husband, Terry, of Winchester; two grandchildren, Denise Solan of Redondo Beach, California, Ricky Shickle of Front Royal, Virginia; four great grandchildren and one brother, Oliver Heishman of Rio, West Virginia.

Three sisters and four brothers preceded her in death.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, Virginia.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Winchester Grace Brethren Church, 143 Greenwood Road, Winchester, Virginia 22602.
