Neil Philip Ramsay, 82, of Autumn Glen in Stephens City, died on Thursday, October 12, 2023, peacefully at home.

Born on October 11, 1941, in Waynesboro, PA, Neil was the son of the late William Somerville Wilson Ramsay and Florence Katherine Ramsay.

Neil graduated from Waynesboro Senior High School in Waynesboro, PA, in 1959. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose for 34 years.

In 1991, he retired from a long and varied career in engineering and manufacturing, and enjoyed a second career in commercial and residential construction design and estimating.

Along with his parents, Neil was preceded in death by his son, Brian Ramsay, his niece, Judy Ramsay in California, and his two brothers, Wilson “Bill” Somerville Ramsay and Allan Leroy Ramsay.
Neil is survived by his wife, Margaret “Peggy” Hess Ramsay, who he wed on Valentine’s Day, 1986, and his daughter, Kathy Milligan of Delaware. He is also survived by his nephew in California, Jeff Ramsay, and by his niece and nephew in Pennsylvania, Theresa Heck and Michael Ramsay.

He was an avid car enthusiast, and a great fisherman. He could fix anything. His dogs, his cats, and his wife loved him very, very much.

Funeral services will not be held.
