Neil Mathieson, 66, of Stanley, Virginia passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at Winchester Medical Center.
Neil was born in 1953 in Orlando, Florida, son of the late Robert and Josephine Mathieson. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired in 1996 from Boeing Aerospace Operations. Neil was a member of Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church in Sperryville, Virginia.
He married Darlene J. Howes on July 20, 2007 in Tennessee.
Surviving with his wife are daughters, Heather McIntyre, Jaymi Mathieson, and Valerie Howes; sons, Aaron Mathieson, Casey Mathieson, Daniel Gallo, and Matthew Gallo; grandchildren, Katelyn, Madelyn, Jazlene, and Emma Gallo, Sophie McIntyre, Christian Miller, and Morgan Mathieson; great-granddaughter, Natalie; sisters, Marge Montague and Marion Tew; and brother, Edward Mathieson.
Along with his parents, Neil was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy “Dot” Waller and a brother, Robert Mathieson.
A visitation will be from 10 am to 12 pm on Saturday, September 5th, at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church, 3948 Sperryville Pike, Sperryville, Virginia. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 12 pm with Pastor Jon Heddleston officiating. Interment will be private. A fellowship luncheon will follow the service at the church.
