Naomi Largent Heishman
Naomi Largent Heishman of Winchester, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 6th, 2010, after a brief illness. She was born in 1913 in Bloomery, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Samuel J. and Maggie Largent.
Mrs. Heishman was an active member of the Sunnyside Presbyterian Church for over fifty years with a special interest in the women’s circles. She worked twelve years at O’Sullivan and was Postmistress at Sunnyside Post Office for twenty-five years.
Her husband, Leslie L. Heishman, whom she married on October 20, 1942, preceded her in death.
She is survivied by one son, Ross L. Heishman, Winchester, Virginia, and three brothers, Archie Largent, Paul Largent and Ralph Largent all of Berkeley Springs, West VIrginia; thirteen nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by four sisters, Lillian Harmison, Dorothy Hovermale, Retha Shade, Mary Place; two brothers, Harold J. Largent and Infant brother Melvin Largent.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, at Sunnyside Presbyterian Church with Reverend Ron Potter officiating. Interment will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery, Winchester, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Heishman’s nephews, Samuel Shade, Lloyd Hovermale, Tommy Hovermale, Ronald Place, Patrick Largent, Phil Harmison, and Lowell Harmison.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
