Nancy Faye Davis, 72, of Bunker Hill, West Virginia died Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Winchester Medical Center.
Mrs. Davis, known to many as Aunt Nanny, was born in 1943 in Tazewell, Virginia, the daughter of the late Andrew and Helen Kitts. She was a homemaker and of the Brethren Faith. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and the camping adventures they shared together. She was a member of the Senior Citizens of Berkeley County and volunteered with Hospice of the Eastern Panhandle.
Her husband, Walter “Garland” Davis, Sr., whom she married on August 9, 1958 in Hagerstown, Maryland preceded her in death on February 8, 2000.
Surviving are sons, Walter G. Davis, Jr. and wife, Debbie and Joseph B. Davis and wife, Kathy; sisters, Betty McIntosh, Florence Martin, and Annabelle Jackson; brothers, Jerry and Billy Kitts; grandchildren, Justin, Brooke, and J.B. Davis, II and Jennifer Davis Collis and husband, Brad; great grandchildren, Trenton and Evelyn Davis and Baby Collis who is to arrive in April 2017; and also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by sisters, Phyllis Puffinberger and Mozelle Kidd; and brothers, Robert, Joe, Fred, and Gordon Kitts.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday at Pleasant View Memory Gardens, 2938 Charles Town Road, Kearneysville, West Virginia.
