Myron L. Hauschild passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Spring Arbor of Winchester after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Myron was born May 9, 1939, in the Midland Community of Rice County, Kansas, to the late Frederick W. Hauschild and Viola Goodrick Hauschild.
Myron married Judy Anne Ginader, July 18, 1964, in Drexel Hill, PA. They have two sons, Thomas and Brian Hauschild.
He attended Hutchinson Junior College and graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. Myron was employed by E.I. DuPont for his entire career, starting in Philadelphia, PA, then transferring to Old Hickory (Nashville), TN, Parlin, NJ, Moberly, MO, Wilmington, DE and finally to Cedarville (Front Royal), VA before retiring in 2001.
Myron loved his work, his family and fishing. There was never a lake, pond or stream he didn’t enjoy. The best experiences of his retirement were several fishing trips to Alaska.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Judy; sons, Tom (Karen) of Charleston, SC, Brian of Minneapolis, MN; brothers, Darrel (Carol) and Les (Pat) both of KS; sister-in-law, Kate Sop (Steve); nephews, Jerry Callaghan (Beth), Tyler Hauschild (Crissy) and grandchildren, Holly and Carson Hauschild.
A visitation will be held for Myron on Monday, February 12, 2024, at 10am with a Service at 11am, all held at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery.
