Muriel E. Haag
Muriel Ethel Poppi Haag, 84, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Wednesday, November 2, 2011, in Blue Ridge Hospice Residential Center.
Mrs. Haag was born in 1927, in New York, New York, the daughter of the late Amelio and Elvina Poppi. She was homemaker who loved square dancing, reading, shopping and old classic movies.
Her husband, Harlan Nelson Haag, whom she married in April, 1947, in Massachusetts, preceded her in death in September, 1993.
Surviving is her son Dr. Gary A. Haag and his wife, Penny, of Winchester, Virginia; and two grandsons, Nickolas Haag of Richmond, Virginia and Spencer Haag of Washington D.C.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Reverend David Young officiating. Inurnment will be in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, New York.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, prior to the service, from 1:00-2:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
